In Zvamahande, Zimbabwe, a collaborative effort by ZCCRPOST (Zimbabwe Centre for Communication, Research and Public Opinion Survey Trust) brought valuable knowledge to the community. Led by Dr. Last Alfandika, the Citizen Journalism and Climate Change Training empowered residents with the skills to tell their stories and understand the environmental challenges they face. This also dives into the training’s goals, the information participants gained, and the lasting impact it will have on the community’s ability to access and share credible information.
This focus on credible information is particularly crucial in the fight against climate change, where accurate knowledge is essential for informed decision-making and adaptation strategies. By equipping residents with these tools, ZCCRPOST is fostering a more informed and empowered Zvamahande, prepared to tackle the challenges of climate change and build a more resilient future.
